Tell Council to Stop the Cuts to Public Transit!

The Transit Commission voted to support Sutcliffe's proposal to cut $47 million from our already weak public transit system.

Some of the things included in these cuts are taking buses off the road that could be used for things like R1 service when the LRT goes down and delaying much needed investments in improving equipment.

By comparison our city is projecting an increase in spending on road widening and expansion by $55 million and increasing our already bloated police budget by over $15 million.

We know that the only way to save our transit system is by investing in it not cutting it.

Despite the budget passing at Transit Commission today, the budget still needs to be approved on March 1st so there is still time to act.
