Councillor Matthew Luloff is not what Orléans residents signed up for.
He’s supported transit service cuts and fare hikes, and a municipal return-to-office mandate despite the negative impact these decisions have on so many Orleans residents.
He voted to give a tax break for a luxury hotel and to approve the controversial Lansdowne 2.0 project, subsidizing OSEG’s corporate profits rather than spending that money on things like maintaining public infrastructure in his ward.
He has also been funded largely by developers, with 71% of his 2022 donations being tied to the development industry.
Now, he’s just been found guilty of impaired driving after a highly-publicized trial. He dropped out of being a Conservative candidate in the last federal election for this, so what makes him think he should remain in the Council race?
